Barbara began her career after earning a degree in Computer Science from the University of Guadalajara, where she distinguished herself early through her work on database design and server-side optimization. Her interest in building end-to-end systems led her to full-stack development, and over time, she developed particular strength in backend engineering, cloud architecture, and service orchestration.
She started out as a junior developer at a regional tech consultancy, contributing to web applications for clients in logistics and healthcare. Her curiosity and work ethic quickly elevated her to lead roles on cross-functional teams, where she delivered RESTful APIs, designed secure authentication flows, and helped migrate legacy systems to cloud environments. It was during these formative years that she developed her expertise in Node.js and AWS—technologies that now serve as the foundation for her work at TyrBit.
Before joining TyrBit, Barbara spent several years at a global SaaS firm where she spearheaded a microservices overhaul of their monolithic application. She worked across DevOps, QA, and product teams to build a containerized architecture using Docker and Kubernetes, and implemented continuous deployment pipelines that significantly reduced release times. Her backend services were consistently recognized for reliability and test coverage, and her mentorship helped standardize coding practices across engineering teams.
At TyrBit, Barbara leads the Software Engineering team responsible for backend systems and API integrations. She is instrumental in developing data-intensive applications that underpin the company’s AI-powered analytics and digital transformation solutions. Her work includes designing fault-tolerant services, optimizing performance at scale, and building infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
Barbara is known not only for her technical leadership but also for her collaborative spirit and meticulous attention to quality.
